Turn a real part into a CAD model you can edit

You have the part. You need the drawing.

We 3D scan it and rebuild it as a proper editable CAD model. Not a rough scan. Not a mesh you cannot work with. A model you can open, change and send to any manufacturer in the world.

From R1,650. Five working days. Free quote within 48 hours.

This is for you if

  • You need to manufacture a part and there is no drawing for it.
  • You are quoting a job and the client only has the physical part.
  • You want to modify an existing part before you make more of them.
  • You are moving production and the new supplier wants a file.
  • You want the part on record before the last one wears out.

What you get for R1,650

  • One part up to about 300 mm, scanned to 0.05 mm accuracy.
  • A clean, watertight mesh.
  • An editable parametric CAD model — delivered as a STEP file plus our native file.
  • One round of changes.
  • Your part returned by courier.
  • Five working days.

No part is printed on this offer. If you also want a physical part, that is our replacement part offer, from R2,250.

A word on the R750 mesh-only option. We will do it, but we usually talk people out of it. A mesh is a shell. You cannot change a dimension in it, you cannot put it in an assembly, and most manufacturers will send it back. The CAD model is the thing with value.

Mesh or CAD? The difference in plain words

A mesh is a skin made of millions of tiny triangles. It looks exactly like your part. You can print it. You cannot change it.

A CAD model is built from real shapes and real dimensions — this hole is 12 mm, this wall is 3 mm. You can change any of them. Any manufacturer can quote from it.

We give you the CAD model. That is what you are paying for.
