We bring the scanner to your machine
Some parts should not leave the building. They are bolted down. They are heavy. They are the only one you have, and the line stops if you post it.
So we come to you. Within 50 km of Pretoria, travel is included in the price.
Half day from R3,200. Full day from R5,500. Free quote within 48 hours.
The scanner in use on a real machine in a real workshop. Overalls, grease, factory floor. Not a clean studio. This photo has to look like the client's own plant.
What a half day looks like
- We arrive with the scanner. Travel inside 50 km of Pretoria is included.
- Four hours on site. We scan as many parts and assemblies as fit the time.
- Nothing has to be taken off the machine if it can be reached.
- Your scan data, registered and cleaned, is delivered within three working days.
Half day — up to 4 hours on site: from R3,200.
Full day — up to 8 hours on site: from R5,500.
Prices in rand. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added.
A full day is better value if you have more than three or four parts. Most clients find they have more parts than they thought.

Where we come
Included in the price, within 50 km of Pretoria:
Pretoria · Tshwane · Centurion · Midrand · northern Johannesburg · Kempton Park · Edenvale · Honeydew · Hartbeespoort · Bronkhorstspruit · Cullinan
Not on the list? Tell us where you are and we will say straight away whether you are inside the free area. The circle covers more places than we can fit on one line.
Further than 50 km? We still come. Travel beyond 50 km is R6.50 per km, round trip, quoted up front so there is no surprise on the invoice.

This is worth doing if
- The part is bolted into a machine that is still running.
- The part is too heavy or too awkward to courier.
- You have several parts to capture and shipping them one at a time would take weeks.
- You want a record of your critical spares before one of them fails.
- An assembly only makes sense measured in place.

What happens after the visit
On-site scanning gives you measured data. Turning that into an editable CAD model is our scan to CAD offer, from R1,650 per part. Printing a replacement is our replacement part offer, from R2,250.
We quote those separately so you only pay for the parts you actually want modelled. Scan ten, model the two that matter.
Why this price is low
An on-site scanning day costs R17,000 to R30,000 in the United Kingdom, and in the United States the travel surcharge alone can be more than that.
We charge R3,200 for a half day because we are already in Pretoria. Travel inside our own city costs us almost nothing, so we can publish a real price instead of hiding it behind a site visit and a negotiation.
We checked 19 South African companies that do this work. Not one publishes a price for coming to your site. Not one offers a half day at all.
