A replacement part for something you can’t buy any more

Send us the broken part. We send you a working one.

We 3D scan what is left of your part, rebuild it as a proper 3D model, fix the weak spot that broke it, and print you a new one. You get the part, and you keep the model.

From R2,250. Five working days. Free quote within 48 hours.

This is for you if

  • A machine is standing still and the part is not made any more.
  • The supplier wants to sell you a whole assembly when one small piece failed.
  • The part is twenty years old and the company that made it is gone.
  • You are restoring a car, a bike or a tractor and the part was last made in 1974.
  • You are at home with something broken and the shop says they cannot help.

What you get for R2,250

  • We 3D scan your part, accurate to 0.05 mm.
  • We rebuild it as an editable CAD model, not just a scan. Delivered as a STEP file plus our native file.
  • We print one replacement part. PETG is our standard plastic: tough, and it does not turn brittle.
  • If the part lives outside, we print it in UV-resistant ASA instead. We stock that in black.
  • We check the fit before we ship it.
  • One round of changes if something is not right.
  • Your original part comes back to you.
  • Delivered in five working days, couriered anywhere in South Africa.

The R2,250 covers one part up to about 300 mm — roughly the size of a shoebox.

What it costs

PartPrice
Simple — a bracket, a cover, a spacer, a handleR2,250 to R4,500
Moderate — curved shapes, industrial partsR4,500 to R9,500
Complex — assemblies, tight tolerances, organic shapesQuoted

Prices in rand. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Courier to you is free on jobs of R2,500 or more, at cost below that.

Stronger materials — nylon, carbon-filled plastic, resin, metal — are quoted on top. UV-resistant ASA for outdoor parts is in stock, in black. Tell us what the part has to survive and we will tell you what it should be made of.

The CAD file is included

The CAD model of your part is included in this job, at no extra charge. We hand it over with the part.

If the part breaks again in five years, you have the file. We also keep a copy, so a reorder is one email.

How it works

  1. Send photos. Photos of the part from a few angles, its rough sizes, and when you need it.
  2. Free quote in 48 hours. A written price and a date.
  3. Get us the part. Post it, drop it off, or we come to you within 50 km of Pretoria. A heavy or bolted-down part never has to move.
  4. We scan and rebuild it. You see the model before we print.
  5. Part and file arrive. Five working days, by courier.

Common questions

My part is broken in pieces. Is that a problem?
Usually not. We can rebuild a part from pieces, and often from one good half. Send photos and we will tell you honestly before you pay anything.
Will the printed part be strong enough?
It depends on the job, and we will say so straight. A plastic part is right for covers, housings, brackets, trim, handles, guides and guards. For a part carrying a heavy load or sitting in heat, we tell you up front and quote a stronger material or point you at a machine shop.
Will it survive outside in the sun?
Yes, if we make it in the right plastic. Ordinary printed plastic goes chalky and brittle after a season in South African sun. We print outdoor parts in UV-resistant ASA, which is made for exactly that. We stock it in black. Tell us at the quote stage that the part lives outside.
Can you make it better than the original?
Often, yes. If the part broke in the same place twice, that place was the problem. We can thicken it, add a rib or change the shape while we have it in CAD.
How fast can you go?
Standard is five working days. If a line is down, see our emergency part service — 48 hours or faster inside 50 km of Pretoria.
Do you do metal?
Not in-house. If your part has to be metal we will tell you at the quote stage and point you to someone who can.
